02

Governance & coordination

Clarify roles and connect public bodies, delivery organizations and community partners.

A practical mandate

Scope the work around the decision.

National, regional and local perspectives

Water safety can involve public facilities, open water, visitor settings, schools, community education and emergency preparedness. An engagement begins by defining the relevant places, people and decisions.

A deliverable people can use

The aim is an agreed action plan: a documented starting point, a prioritized programme of work, named responsibilities and a measurement approach. Research and validation are part of the mandate where evidence is incomplete.

Working together

A clear beginning.
A useful result.
