Accountability & learning

Measure what changes.
Learn what works.

A meaningful water-safety programme needs a clear starting point, agreed measures and a way to adapt as the work develops.

Our measurement approach

Make progress visible.

01

Reach & access

Who is being reached, where barriers remain and whether learning is accessible to the intended communities.

02

Capability & delivery

The people trained, the programmes delivered and the local capacity established to sustain the work.

03

Systems & follow-through

Action-plan milestones, responsibilities, partnerships and the continuing use of evidence in decisions.

How learning informs action

Begin with a baseline.
Return to the evidence.

01

Define the starting point

Agree the population, setting, available information and limits of the baseline.

02

Choose measures together

Connect indicators to the specific programme and the decisions they will inform.

03

Review and adapt

Document progress, identify gaps and adjust the implementation plan.
